Why? Why? Analysis How it works

The name itself is self-explanatory.  Very simple for any problem, why it happened first question after answer again why that happened like wise it goes on till it stops where the root of the problem exists. This can be applied any where and see the results you find.

In Toyota's experience with manufacturing processes back in the 1930s, they found that by repeatedly asking "Why?" about a problem, typically around five times, they were usually able to peel back enough layers to get to the fundamental, root cause of the issue.

The "5" represents the idea that most problems, even complex ones, tend to reveal their root cause after a few iterations of focused questioning. It's often enough to move beyond symptoms and uncover the underlying systemic issue.

Why-why analysis, also known as the "5 Whys", is a root cause analysis technique that involves repeatedly asking "why" to drill down past the symptoms of a problem to its underlying cause. Developed by Sakichi Toyoda, it's a simple yet powerful tool used to identify the fundamental issue and implement effective countermeasures, rather than just fixing the immediate problem.

How it works

Start with the problem: Clearly define the problem you are addressing.

Ask "why": Ask why the problem occurred. Write down the answer.

Repeat the question: For each answer you get, ask "why" again to dig deeper into the cause.

Continue until the root cause is found: Continue this process, typically around five times, until asking "why" no longer makes sense or you've reached the fundamental cause of the problem.

Implement solutions: Once you've identified the root cause, you can develop and implement solutions to prevent the problem from happening again.

Example

Problem: The car won't start.

Why? The battery is dead.

Why? The alternator is not functioning properly.

Why? The alternator belt is broken.

Why? The belt was old and worn.

Why? The car was not serviced according to the recommended maintenance schedule.

Here’s another example of how this works:

Problem

There is a puddle of water on the floor.

Why?

The overhead pipe is leaking.

Why?

There is too much water pressure in the pipe.

Why?

There is a faulty control valve.

Why?

Control valves have not been tested.

Why?

Control valves are not on the maintenance schedule.

The Root Cause reveals the source of the problem. By coming up with a solution for the root cause, there is a high chance that all of the whys leading up to the final answer will naturally get resolved. Look at the following examples.

1. *Problem: Machine Breakdown*

    - Why did the machine break down? -> Overheating

    - Why did it overheat? -> Lack of lubrication

    - Why was it not lubricated? -> No regular maintenance schedule

    - Why was there no maintenance schedule? -> Lack of training for maintenance staff

    - Why was staff not trained? -> Inadequate budget allocation

    - *Result:* 10 hours of production loss, ₹50,000 repair cost

    - *Action:* Implement regular maintenance schedule, provide training to maintenance staff, allocate budget for maintenance

2. *Problem: Delayed Project Delivery*

    - Why was the project delayed? -> Unrealistic timeline

    - Why was the timeline unrealistic? -> Poor estimation of task duration

    - Why were tasks poorly estimated? -> Lack of historical data

    - Why was historical data lacking? -> No knowledge sharing among teams

    - Why was knowledge not shared? -> No collaboration tools or processes

    - *Result:* 2-week delay, ₹200,000 penalty

    - *Action:* Implement project management tools, establish knowledge-sharing processes, involve stakeholders in planning

3. *Problem: Product Quality Issue*

    - Why was the product quality poor? -> Insufficient testing

    - Why was testing insufficient? -> Lack of testing resources

    - Why were resources lacking? -> Budget constraints

    - Why were there budget constraints? -> Poor project planning

    - Why was planning poor? -> Lack of stakeholder involvement

    - *Result:* 10% customer returns, ₹150,000 rework cost

    - *Action:* Increase testing resources, involve stakeholders in planning, allocate budget for quality assurance

4. *Problem: Employee Turnover*

    - Why did employees leave? -> Unhappy work environment

    - Why was the environment unhappy? -> Poor management

    - Why was management poor? -> Lack of leadership training

    - Why was training lacking? -> No HR support

    - Why was HR support lacking? -> Inadequate HR resources

    - *Result:* 20% turnover rate, ₹500,000 recruitment cost

    - *Action:* Provide leadership training, increase HR support, improve work environment

5. *Problem: Customer Complaints*

    - Why did customers complain? -> Product not meeting expectations

    - Why didn't it meet expectations? -> Poor product design

    - Why was design poor? -> Lack of customer feedback

    - Why was feedback lacking? -> No customer engagement strategy

    - Why was there no strategy? -> Lack of market research

    - *Result:* 15% customer complaints, ₹100,000 goodwill loss

    - *Action:* Implement customer feedback process, conduct market research, improve product design.

Rajnikant heartthrob of all

Success has many friends is well known adage. But how he or she become successful no body want to follow. Before getting to the top of their domain they took hardwork and consistency in their skills to be what they are today. Their belief self confidence and passion never distracted them from their goals. We feel pride in being follower than trendsetter or leaders. Unless we see somebody doing or did something extra ordinary we don't recognize them. Then we think for a while wow we too can copy it. Next few days or for a month we imitate him, after gauging the toil and sacrifices we decide that its hard nut to crack. If it is any commodity available in the market they're ready to buy it. But unfortunately this is not any thing which can be hired or bought. That "extra" hardship is the main ingredient to make any one extra from ordinary. A glaring example of one of a living legend in films who created his own niche and  a brand himself is none other than Charismatic, heartthrob Rajinikanth or better known as Shivaji Rao Gaikwad, the pride of Indian cinema has never missed an opportunity to learn even though he’s a Superstar in his real life. From taking up jobs of coolie, carpenter and bus conductor to eke out a living, he’s the real gem though. And that’s why he continues to remain the world’s one and only Superstar.
Despite everything, his forthrightness and down-to-earth demeanor continue to keep the audience entertained even today. He believes in simple living. This is his message.
"Whether you drive a BMW or Maruti, the road remains the same. Whether you fly Economy or Business Class, your destination doesn't change. Whether you wear Titan or Rolex, time remains the same. Whether you use a Samsung or Apple, the people who call you are the same. There is nothing wrong about dreaming about a luxurious life. What needs to be seen is that need doesn't become greed, because needs can always be met...but greed can never be fulfilled. This is his thought provoking message or life lessons for everyone. The essence of this if we can be able to deduce we can change our mindset from wants to need only.

AI a Boon or Bane a Brainstorm

We wrote several essays in school and colleges on advance of Science and scientific experiments its pros and cons but barring few incidents it came as a boon at large. Now the latest is talk of the people and humans. Yes you are right. The Artificial Intelligence (AI).I am not casting aspersions on anything and everything. Also not questioning about its efficacy and worth. It is yet in public domain and they are the best judges.

The deepening role of intelligent help, such as AI, challenges the very meaning of "being human" and sparks ongoing philosophical debate. Technology, including advanced AI tools, can be both a boon and a bane depending on how it shapes our thought, creativity, and self-understanding.

Boon: Potential for Expansion

AI can amplify human intelligence, efficiency, and knowledge, freeing us to explore new frontiers of abstract thought and self-reflection—much as writing did in ancient times.

It augments our abilities: automating routine tasks lets us focus more on philosophical contemplation, creativity, or complex problems.

Human self-awareness can deepen by reflecting on what makes us different from machines, echoing ancient wisdom urging us to "Know thyself".

Bane: Risk of Dilution

Over-reliance on assistance may reduce our capacity for original creativity and critical thinking, leading to more homogenous or repetitive ideas.

Philosophers warn that by outsourcing even basic human activities and decisions to AI, we risk losing touch with our "special characteristic," the mystery and uniqueness central to personhood.

Some studies show that frequent use of AI for idea generation or problem-solving can erode divergent thinking and innovation, threatening the uniqueness of human intelligence.

Human Identity and the Path Forward

Engaging with technology challenges us to continually redefine "humanity" in the context of autonomy, dignity, and self-determination.

Rather than replacing humanity, AI might prompt a transformation—if used wisely, it could help us better appreciate our own limitations and strengths, rekindling a sense of purpose and self-discovery.

The true risk lies in using AI as a mere shortcut or escape from human effort and inquiry, rather than as a tool for greater growth and reflection.

Whether intelligent help is a boon or bane ultimately hinges on our choices. If humans allow technology to replace self-reflection and creative struggle, our distinctiveness may fade. But when used to challenge, inspire, and provoke us toward deeper understanding, technology can help us remain fully human—perhaps in even richer, evolving ways.

How does AI change what it means to be human

AI fundamentally transforms what it means to be human by shifting our relationship with knowledge, creativity, and personal agency.

Technology or Threats to Human Existence?.

Promise, Paradox, and Premonition

The digital revolution has brought the world to our doorsteps quite literally.

From groceries arriving in ten minutes to home beauty treatments, health

checkups, car repairs, laundry pickup, and even medical diagnostics, a new

universe of “doorstep convenience” has unfolded. Platforms such as Urban

Company, Blinkit, Zepto,Tata 1mg, PharmEasy, and Healthians have

redefined what it means to live comfortably. The motto seems to be why

step out when everything can come in?.It is ensuing with every mortal on earth wherever we tread like shadow we are well aware of it but helpless, so chose to ignore it.

Technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence, began as an assistant  a tool to ease burdens, increase productivity, and make routine tasks lighter. Yet, its trajectory now points toward autonomy. The line between “helping humans” and “replacing humans” is fading.

Imagine an AI assistant not just ordering your groceries but jogging every morning to keep your fitness

tracker active on your behalf; not just booking your salon but getting your virtual haircut done in your

avatar’s stead; not just preparing your meal kit but eating for you, logging

nutritional data so your health score looks perfect. It sounds absurd but it’s a

logical extension of a culture obsessed with delegation of experience.

The domestic and personal service sectors  from maids, drivers, beauticians,

cooks, to healthcare attendants  have always formed the human web that

sustains everyday life. Now, automation, robotics, and smart systems are inching

into these intimate zones. Smart kitchens cook by command, cleaning bots replace

housemaids, telemedicine apps diagnose without doctors, and AI stylists select

clothes based on facial algorithms. These advances appear harmless, even

delightful. But when machines start doing everything for us, we risk more than job

loss we risk purpose loss.

There was a time technology was made to assist the human hand; now it is

learning to replace the heartbeat behind it. If this continues, the next phase of

progress may look something like this — AI will jog on my behalf, tracking perfect

steps and calories burned, while I sit in comfort, admiring my fitness score. It will

laugh at comedy shows on my behalf, to keep my emotional quotient

well-balanced. It will attend my child’s online school, submit his assignments on

time, and perhaps even receive his report card — while both of us enjoy our rest. If

I fall ill, AI may undergo the treatment virtually, simulating recovery for my health

record. If my knees ache, it might get a virtual massage — the data of relief will

flow back to my health tracker. All these scenes sound humorous today, but each

carries a whisper of truth. Every era’s “impossible” becomes the next decade’s

“upgrade.” This isn’t a rebellion against technology — it’s a plea for conscious

evolution. The human being must remain the centre of meaning, not merely the

subject of service. Machines can replace effort but not experience; they can

replicate laughter but not joy; they can simulate empathy but not understanding.

When implementation ignores these subtleties, the outcome is hollow — a

civilization surrounded by comfort yet starved of connection. The danger is not that

AI will think better than us — it’s that we may stop thinking for ourselves. Not

because we are incapable, but because convenience has numbed our curiosity.

Every new invention should, therefore, pass a moral checkpoint: • Does it empower

humans or excuse them from being human? • Does it create engagement or erase

it? • Does it help us live better, or does it live for us? The world must soon draw this

line — not out of fear, but out of foresight. We need machines that expand human

horizons, not erase them. For technology is not destiny — it is a mirror. And what

we choose to see in it will determine whether we build a world of living intelligence

or intelligent lifelessness.

Hidden Happiness

Hidden Happiness

This is a story  or an anecdote I am not sure if anyone who have read in IoT. or knew about this please feel free to correct me and also enlighten me. it goes like

Once, upon a time when God was creating the Universe and everything in it, he realized he needed some help to figure out what to do with happiness. So he called all the angels and asked them, “ I must find a place for happiness in the world, but I am having trouble knowing what to do. If it is too easy to find, they will not value it enough. Please help me.”

Well, the angels pondered this conundrum. Then one Angel brightened and said, “What about putting it on the highest mountain top?”

God thought a moment and then shook his head. “No, I'm afraid they will eventually go there and find happiness; it will no longer be hard to find.”

The angels discussed the issue further, until another angel said, “God, what about putting it in the deepest ocean depths?”

“Thank you, but that won't work either,” God responded, sadly. “They will get there eventually as well.”

After a few more moments of thought, God's face lit up and he exclaimed, “I have it!”

“What, God?” the angels asked anxiously. “What is the solution?”

God smiled and replied, “I will put it inside of them, for they will never think to look for it there.”

And so, the moral of the story is: You can only find true happiness inside yourself. You can find external things to give you temporary 'happiness', but it is not really happiness. It is your illusion."Like the musk deer, which searches for grass again and again, unaware of the fragrance of musk in its own navel."  The only real happiness comes from your earnest choice to be happy, no matter what your circumstances are.

Wal-Mart Store Inc. Success Story II

For example, Walton noticed that a store had an ice cream dispenser that attracted a lot of kids. This resulted in the parents wanting to specifically shop at their store as their children would be preoccupied and would make their work easier. He observed that a few stores applied a technique called the loss leader principle, wherein they sold basic commodities at an extremely low margin so that they could attract shoppers into making a visit.

For example, if the price of toothpaste was $1, some stores sold it at 50 cents/ $0.50. This gave them two benefits that very few people actually understood. Firstly, by looking at the low cost of the toothpaste, customers assumed that the store had the best prices for the rest of the products also. And secondly, since they made a visit to the store, customers would buy other products like cereals, clothes or DVDs which were all high margin products. The store might have lost 50 cents on the toothpaste, but on the rest of the bill, it made $10-$20.

Sam Walton carefully observed every one of these elements from the stores he visited and tried to incorporate them in his store. Some ideas worked and some did not, but the one sure thing was that Sam Walton knew about every single retail idea floating around in the market. He would often meet with the heads of the other discount chains and introduce himself as a small retailer looking for advice on the retail business. The heads of these retail stores answered more questions than they were supposed to as they did not view Walton as a threat. And with each passing conversation, Sam Walton walked away with a better understanding of the market. This impeccable market research always kept Walmart at the forefront of the retail revolution. Due to this Walmart was always able to find the best sellers, the cheapest products, and the best technology. Most importantly with each new store, they knew exactly which products would work and which wouldn’t and knew what their competitors’ strengths and weaknesses were.

3. TEAM MANAGEMENT

Considering the rapid growth of Walmart, wherein they were opening hundreds of stores every single year, how did Sam Walton manage to keep track of the market? This is where the third aspect of his success comes into place, that is Sam Walton’s team management. Walton followed three very powerful principles that helped him in nurturing the managers of Walmart into extraordinary leaders. These three principles were:

SAFETY

COLLABORATION

SHARED OWNERSHIP

First of all, all managers of Walmart owned a percentage of their retail store which gave them a sense of belonging and inspired them to work harder to turn their store into the best one in town.

Secondly, Walton created a culture wherein the entire team would gather every Saturday morning to talk about the issues they faced or a problem that needed to be solved in that particular store. And no matter how small or big the problem was, Walton, insisted on solving the problem together as a team.

Last and most importantly, most retailers had strict rules about the implementation of ideas by a store manager and what they can or cannot do. Whereas, Sam Walton gave his store managers the freedom to experiment with different products and marketing strategies so that they can maintain a continued understanding of the market. Even failed ideas were not reprimanded and the managers were encouraged to implement new ideas after introspection. Sam Walton implemented this as he believed that rigid protocol would stifle innovation. And in order to keep pace with the fast-developing retail industry, it was important that everybody kept experimenting

to acquire a deeper understanding of the market. This resulted in the store managers coming up with game-changing ideas for new store designs and better seller suggestions.

One such manager, Phil Green was so inspired to experiment that he bought the largest ever display of Tide, and bought 3500 giant boxes of Tide to compete with another retail giant called Kmart. The stock that he purchased was so large in the quantity that it occupied an entire section even after being stacked all the way up to the roof. Now, most people would get fired for making such a big and risky purchase decision, but this was not the case at Walmart. Phil sold out all those boxes within a week and Walmart became the new favourite                                                                   in town as compared to Kmart.

This was the revolutionary culture that Sam Walton cultivated in Walmart that turned his Managers into Ambassadors of the business and risk-taking owners. This eventually turned Walmart into one of the most powerful companies in the US with 2.2 million employees and a revenue of $559 billion today.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc.Success story I

Legendary Walmart - The success story

One day in just about all of the 9,300 residents of Bentonville, Ark.,turned out to toast the neighbours who created history in their town by their dedication and hardwork. It was Sam and Helen Walton,s Appreciation Day. A rousing parade with bands and floats had been organized to honour the locals who changed the course of retailing and the town they called home. Portraits of the couples everywhere. The newspaper printed a special souvenir edition. President Reagan phoned to offer congratulations. And a retail shop “Five-and-dime” store in their town.

Forbes magazine declared him America's richest man.How and why he became "King of Retail"? What magic wand he found? It is certainly a hair raising story and a matter of Case study for new entrants in this domain.Yes it is Samuel Moore Walton popularly known as Sam Walton the man behind Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

Walmart - The success story of Samuel Moore Walton and How did it become the most powerful business Empire worth $559 Billion.

This is the story of a man who went from being an ordinary salesman to becoming the retail billionaire of America. Today his family is worth $215 billion. The iconic businessman is none other than Mr. Samuel Moore Walton and the company he started is known today as the retail giant Walmart.

Today, Americans spend $46 million dollars at Walmart every single hour for 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Walmart employs about 2.2 million people and in 2021 alone Walmart has generated a profit of $1.5 million dollars every single hour!

What was so special about Sam Walton that he was able to build such a gigantic business empire?

This story dates back to America in the late 1940s when World War II had just ended. Just like any other post-war situation, the economy was bad and the Walton family, like many other people, struggled to make ends meet in the recovering economy. Walton worked multiple jobs throughout his teenage years and early 20s to pay for school and college. He sold newspapers, worked in retail stores, and waited tables, and given the nature of his job, he got the opportunity to interact with a lot of people from diverse backgrounds.

Through those conversations, Walton was able to understand the operations of several businesses in the market. While working at a retail store, he took the initiative to study the rest of the competition although it wasn’t a part of this job. This ability of his to go the extra mile helped him understand the retail market, and when he gained enough confidence, he borrowed some money from his father-in-law along with his own savings and took up a franchise of a retail chain called Ben Franklin.

His retail journey begins from here. A franchise model like Ben Franklin came with a lot of restrictions although he had the liberty to use the brand name. He had to buy 80% of the products from Ben Franklin, otherwise, he wouldn’t get a rebate. He also had to spend a specific amount of funds on advertising and even hire a certain amount of people. All of this gave him only 6-7% profit and a revenue of only $72,000/ year. Whereas, his competitor was generating a revenue of $150,000/ year. This inspired him to visit every single store nearby and he spent hours at his competitors’ stores studying their marketing strategies.

During this tedious process of examining his competition and studying the retail market, Sam Walton learned 3 very important things that helped him become one of the richest men in America.

1. POWER OF DISCOUNTING

The first thing he learned was the power of something called discounting. Discounting is a technique of selling products at a lower margin in order to maximize the sales volume. For example, if 100 t-shirts are sold for $3 each with a profit of $1, then the total profit is about $100. Now, using the discounting method the same t-shirts are sold at $2.5 each with a profit of $0.5 per piece. But the volume of sales of the t-shirts had increased to 200 due to its low cost. Although both these methods had the same $100 profit, the discounting method had some incredible benefits.

The first benefit was that discounting resulted in more volume in sales. This meant more people brought products at the store and hence, increased the footfall (more visitors). Secondly, the inventory moved in a flash. If you’re a retailer who can quickly sell your current t-shirts, you can get new t-shirt designs in stock which would again attract more customers. Faster inventory = new stock. And lastly, more bargaining power with sellers. You as a retailer could get a better bargaining power with the sellers if your inventory moved faster. For example, if the other retailers buy 10,000 units, you could buy 20,000 units because of your accelerated sales volume. Using the bigger purchase order, you could ask the seller to reduce the price by 10% which could give you 10% extra profit even with the best prices.

For a small store, that’s only a 10% increase in the margin along with a discount for customers. But when Walmart scaled up using the same principle, it became powerful enough to dominate the sellers. For example, in the present day, a wholesaler sells 20,000 units to a normal retailer for $5 with a $2 profit. Walmart will place an order for 2 million units and ask the seller to sell it at $3.5. And it being a huge purchase order, it gives the wholesaler more profit so they usually agree.

Now, when the normal retailer prices per unit at $7, Walmart puts a price tag of only $4.9. This means the selling price of Walmart is lesser than the cost price of the normal retailer, making it impossible for the normal retailer to compete with Walmart. Hence, Walmart gains a healthy profit of $1.4/unit and generates millions of dollars in profit without competition.

Initially, Sam Walton could apply discounting to only 20% of the goods due to the franchise restrictions. But later, when he opened his first Walmart store, this aggressive pricing strategy of discounting accelerated the growth of Walmart and made them millions of dollars in profit. This is the first reason why Samuel Walton became incredibly successful and that is the power of discounting.

2. MARKET RESEARCH

The second attribute that made Walton successful was market research. He visited almost every single retail store he could find in America and studied their marketing strategies. During this process, he observed that every successful retailer, knowingly or unknowingly, had an aspect that attracted more people to their store.                                                                            ..........contd. in II

Mindset of comfort and safety

Recent trend of youths, desperate for job but with choice of safety,There are numerous instances in offices banks public service depts like police paramedical depts. They refuse promotions to go to other places. There are also people who are ready to go anywhere on promotions.Few years later the same bloke becomes Senior to the safe gentleman who has no remorse. Is this contentedness,? or safety from what? or escaping routes of facing challenges? In banks even inside the city transfer from one branch to other branch on promotion they are reluctant to move. Is this mindset progressive?

Comfort feels safe, but safety often breeds stagnation.

Every dream begins at the edge of discomfort.

Growth demands uncertainty, embrace it as your teacher.

Stop mistaking comfort for happiness; they are not the same.

The unknown is not your enemy; it is your unexplored potential.

Challenge one small fear every day ,courage grows in repetition.

Replace “what if I fail” with “what if I learn.”

Comfort whispers excuses; growth speaks through action.

Security is temporary, but self-evolution is permanent.

Seek progress, not perfection, start before you feel ready.

Surround yourself with doers who make discomfort normal.

Reflect on your “why” , purpose fuels bold steps.

Remember: new skills are born only in new spaces.

When fear arises, let curiosity take the lead.

The best version of you lives beyond the line of comfort, walk toward it.

We often cling to comfort because it feels safe a space of security, predictability, and ease. Yet this safety quietly holds us back from discovering who we can truly become. Growth lives beyond comfort; it demands courage, curiosity, and a willingness to be uncomfortable. Each small act of stepping into the unknown builds strength and expands your world. Stop mistaking comfort for happiness — the thrill of progress, not safety, brings true fulfilment. Replace fear with curiosity and excuses with action. Seek progress, not perfection, and remember that every great achievement once began as uncertainty. The best version of you is waiting — just think beyond the edge of your comfort fencing. Comfort feels safe, but safety often breeds stagnation. Creates barriers on the path of growth.

Spiritual exchange between R. Paramahansa & Swami Vivekananda

Spiritual exchange between R. Paramahansa & Swami Vivekananda

These are very much useful for everyone today.

To any family, it's one of  the best message I have come across I think...

1. Swami Vivekanand:- I can’t find free time. Life has become hectic.

Ramkrishna Paramahansa:- Activity gets you busy. But productivity gets you free.

 2. Swami Vivekanand:- Why has life become complicated now?

Ramkrishna Paramahansa:- Stop analyzing life.. It makes it complicated. Just live it.

 3. Swami Vivekanand:- Why are we then constantly unhappy?

Ramkrishna Paramahansa:- Worrying has become your habit. That’s why you are not happy.

 4. Swami Vivekanand:- Why do good people always suffer?

Ramkrishna Paramahansa:- Diamond cannot be polished without friction. Gold cannot be purified without fire. Good people go through trials, but don’t suffer.

With that experience their life becomes better, not bitter.

 5. Swami Vivekanand:- You mean to say such experience is useful?

Ramkrishna Paramahansa:- Yes. In every term, Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first and the lessons later.

 6. Swami Vivekanand:- Because of so many problems, we don’t know where we are heading…

Ramkrishna Paramahansa:- If you look outside you will not know where you are heading. Look inside. Eyes provide sight. Heart provides the way.

 7. Swami Vivekanand:- Does failure hurt more than moving in the right direction?

Ramkrishna Paramahansa:- Success is a measure as decided by others. Satisfaction is a measure as decided by you.

 8. Swami Vivekanand:- In tough times, how do you stay motivated?

Ramkrishna Paramahansa:- Always look at how far you have come rather than how far you have to go. Always count your blessing, not what you are missing.

Swami Vivekanand:- What surprises you about people?

Ramkrishna Paramahansa:- When they suffer they ask, “why me?” When they prosper, they never ask “Why me?”

 10. Swami Vivekanand:- How can I get the best out of life?

Ramkrishna Paramahansa:- Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear.

11. Swami Vivekanand:- One last question. Sometimes I feel my prayers are not answered.

Ramkrishna Paramahansa:- There are no unanswered prayers. Keep the faith and drop the fear. Life is a mystery to solve, not a problem to resolve. Trust me. Life i

Resolution or Just a waste of time

Many people make lots of New Year's resolutions. The problem is these usually only last a couple of weeks. Statistics show that the sale of diet products and health club attendance are highest in the first two weeks of the year. You can ask Gym Trainer and Yoga practice Teacher even if it is free. Same situation first week it will be a stampede for parking cars. then slowly the no. goes down and with some or other pretext their resolution chills. Its common phenomena everywhere. People are excited on the very first days of January and are really into their resolutions, but that enthusiasm starts to dwindle by the fifteenth of the month, and usually fizzles out by the end of the month. Why? Because of a lack of continuous and constant motivation. They get motivated at the first of the year but don't keep it up. Some people say the problem with motivation is that it wears off. Well, so does eating and bathing; yet part of your daily routine is to eat and to bathe. To make your resolutions into realities it is essential that you make motivation a part of your daily routine, to read or listen to something motivational, to fill your mind with that which is positive and encouraging. Find something (a book, a tape, or music) that encourages and inspires you to dream and then motivates you to go after your dreams. I recommend that you make this, the Magnificent Motivational Minute, a part of your daily routine. It will help you to grow, help you to focus, and help you to stay motivated. Ladies and gentlemen, remember that it only takes a minute to change your life. If you invest in yourself you will see results in an amazing amount of time. Make a resolution to stay motivated this year. Have a Great Day and a Great Year!

Excellence is the Best Job security

As you and I both know, today there is no such thing as "Job security". People are losing their jobs at record rates. They are faced with the new trend called downsizing, rightsizing, and all the other sizings. Whatever you call it, people are losing jobs faster than any time in previous history. Even though you cannot control what decisions a company will make, you can control your employment status. How? By making excellence your call letters and by developing a mind-set that makes you the CEO of YOU. Here is a story about a friend whose company went under multiple crisis. But she had developed a reputation for excellence. Within a week of her being let go, a former coworker searched for her and hired her for another better paying job. Why? Because the former coworker remembered her desire for work and in that excellence. If the Chicago Bulls were sold, do you think Michael Jordan or Scotty Pippen would have a hard time getting a new job? I don't think so! Excellence is always the best job security. You might not be able to control what happens to your present job but you can control your employability when your work becomes your Identity.

Remember, no matter where you are or what you do, somebody is always watching you and remembers what you do! Be excellent and take control of your future!

The next step to success is to decide to add the "do" to the dream. Take action on your dreams! The decision to act is a critical part of the process because action is absolutely necessary to make dreams come true.

In America they live in a pyramidal society, where there are lots of people at the bottom of the pyramid and a few people at the top. The people at the bottom are barely making ends meet from day to day, simply living from hand to mouth. The people at the top are those who are prospering and thriving. In every community and every geographic area, there are lots of people at the bottom and fewer people at the top. Many of the people at the top started at the bottom but rose to the top. Why? Because they refused to settle for mediocrity. They pursued excellence and began to rise. It's the Crème de la Crème Principle. The cream will rise to the top. you saw Oprah Winfrey on one of the nightly interview shows and she was asked how, from a broken home and from being a troubled teen, she had risen to her status as one of the most powerful women in television. Her answer was that she made a commitment to pursue excellence in everything she did. Initially, she did not look like a Television or movie star. She was not svelte or thin or overly glamorous, but she pursued excellence with a passion. And excellence is like truth. You can push excellence down, try to cover it up, or try to ignore it. But no matter what you do to it, it always rises to the top. We must always pursue excellence in all that we do. Strive for excellence and your dreams will start to rise to the top!

Maybe, Just Maybe!

Can you lift a car? No? Would you try? No? Why? Because your mind tells you that it is impossible to lift a car, so you will not even attempt to do something that your mind says is impossible. Yet there have been numerous accounts of people who have lifted cars in adverse situations.

There are countless stories of parents whose children or loved ones were trapped in cars due to accidents and they defy logic to lift the car. They do the impossible! Why? In those situations they move beyond the thought of impossible. You, too, can move beyond thoughts of impossible, Is this not true?

Author Tony Robbins who has taught for years that "we are all driven and motivated by one of the two things, the pursuit of pleasure or the avoidance of Pain". If you can just learn to think "MAYBE!" There are four levels of thoughts which determine our ability to achieve. First, there is the level of utter impossibility, where we won't even consider trying. Next is the level of doubt, where at least 51 percent of our being says that we don't think we can do it and so we tend not to try. Then there is the level of hope, where at least 51 percent says, "I think I can! Maybe!" Once you get a "maybe," you are much more apt to try. Finally, there is the level of certainty, where the mind says, "We can definitely achieve the goal." Once you try, your chances of achieving the goal rises tremendously. In life sometimes all you need is a maybe, just a maybe, because if you have a maybe you will at least try. If you try, then you have a chance of succeeding. But if you don't try, then you are guar-anteed not to achieve it. You will always miss 100 per-cent of the shots you don't take! Give your best shot, think maybe!

Arnold Schwarzenegger's Dream

Scott McKain is a gifted speaker, author, and television host who was once addressing large gathering said I was privileged to share the speaking stage with. a story about Arnold Schwarzenegger that shows the power of dreams and goals. As a young man growing up in Austria, Arnold Schwarzenegger made up his mind that he was going to do some incredible things with his life. He made up his mind and set a goal to be the greatest bodybuilder of all time. Many thought Arnold was crazy but they figured he would eventually give up, because it would take a great deal of time and commitment. They figured he would give up and get over that silly notion, and get a "real" job. He then added another aspect to his dream, he not only wanted to become the world's greatest bodybuilder but he also wanted to become a movie star and an inter-national fitness guru! His friends said, "What a crazy dream!" He wrote his dreams down on a note card and carried it around in his wallet and made a contract with himself that he would achieve this goal. He said it was this contract with himself that drove him, forced him, to go to America and start the climb to become Mr.Olympia. He went on to become one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood and the Chairman of the President's Committee for Physical Fitness. Do dreams and goals make a difference? You'd better believe it, just ask Arnold! Later he become The Governor of California.

Land of Diamonds

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence,it is said .Or could it be that they take more time and effort on their grass than you? I was talking to a friend who was dissappointed because he didn't get a position that he thought was better than his present one, which is a position with great potential. I shared a true story with him about a farmer in Africa who became enthralled by the diamond trade. He was so anxious to get rich that he decided to sell his farm and go searching for the real riches. He sold the farm to the first person who came along and took whatever the man could give him and went to find riches. After many disappointing years without finding any diamonds, he finally gave up and threw himself over a cliff and died. Meanwhile, back at the farm, the man who bought it was walking across a stream one day and found a big shiny rock. He took it back and placed it in his drawing room. A friend came one day from the city and saw the rock and was amazed. He said, "Wow! This is a diamond, probably one of the biggest diamonds I've ever seen! Where did you find it?" The man said, "I found it in the stream, but, hey, there are a whole lot of them around here. They're all over the place." The farm became known as "Acres of Diamonds." Friends, there are diamonds in your own backyard. You have diamonds all around you. In fact, there's a diamond inside of you! All you have to do is look! The grass can be just as green and even greener on your side of the fence. Feed and water your grass and it, too, will be beautiful!

Ask or open up

Everybody in their life they have faced such bitter experiences. They were thinking that to ask their neighbour that they have two scooters. But other one was kept unused for long time it was not that much old and all of a sudden one of their son's friend comes and takes with him the Scooter for his use. Though you may be ready to pay and take it but your delay in asking you lost the opportunity. Similarly my son is in need of Job and my father's office had two vacancies for internships.I told my father to try for that for me. My father delayed and i lost that chance. Similarly you have an idea of business you prepared everything but you never revealed or shared with anybody. Few day later you see a shop is opened in your neighborhood selling the same items which you wanted to sell.

In order to make your dreams come true, many times you will need assistance. You will need help from someone else. Many times the person who can help is not far away, in fact is within your grasp. But many never ask for that assistance. They have such fear of rejection and so much mistaken pride, they refuse to ask for help. There are numerous people who are ready and willing to give help, but no one asks them! It's like the high school beauty queen who went to the dance competition alone because she didn't have a date. Finally, the one her class book-worm asked and she went to the dance with him. The other guys were afraid to ask because they assumed she had many requests and would reject their invitations. The little bookworm felt he had absolutely nothing to lose, so he asked. He asked and she said yes because no else had asked. He became the big man on campus, not only because he escorted the beauty queen, but because he had the guts to ask. Eventually he became her regular date and then her husband! If you want some-thing out of life, you must be willing to ASK. Have faith, believe in yourself, and then be willing to act on that belief. Ask and you shall receive! Seek and you shall find! If you want to GET, then you must ASK! And remember that all things are possible if you can just believe!

Breaking the mental barriers

If you reprogram your mind to see that things are possible, then your mind will respond to the new infor-mation and go about making those dreams come true. First you must think it is possible; then you must believe it is possible; finally you must act! Case in point: for years it was said that it was humanly impossible to run the mile in less than four minutes. It couldn't be done. Then in 1954 a young man named Roger Bannister ignored the common belief and believed that it was possible. He prepared himself and eventually he ran the mile in 3 minutes 59 seconds. He broke the time barrier as well as the mental barrier. In 1964 a young high school runner named Jim Ryun ran it in less than four minutes, and now lots of people are able to run four-minute miles and the record continues to be broken. Why? Because people realize that it is possible; it can.be done.

They have a new mind-set and their mind is now able to go after what was thought to be impossible. If you think you can or think you can't. probably right! Reprogram your mind and go after you are your dreams and I know that you will start to break some barriers in your life. Have a great day!

Invest in your Mind

Did you know that the average American reads one book a year while the average self-made millionaire reads one book a month? The average American looks at six hours per day of television while the average self-made millionaire looks at less than two hours of tele-vision. To change your thinking it is essential to change what goes into your mind. History proves that readers are leaders. The leaders usually have been the people who read more books. Readers are leaders. Benjamin Franklin once said, "If a man empties his purse into his head, no one can take it away from him. An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest." I implore you to go on a course of self-development. Read more books and listen to more positive and motivational tapes. You will then program your mind with the information that your success is possible and your mind will respond in due order.

It Does Not Matter Where You Come From

A story of the man who went into the bank and was told to take whatever he wanted and he took but a penny because he didn't think he could handle any more money. To be in America and not to take advantage of the opportunities is to be like that man. Did you know that a person from another country becomes a millionaire in the U.S. five times faster than someone who is born here? Why? Because they want it more! Many come from countries with limited opportunities, countries where they might only be able to earn five dollars a week. They come to America where they can make five dollars in just an hour and often they work two or three or four jobs. Ladies and gentle-men, they do whatever is necessary to make their dreams come true. Immigrants come to this country, see all the opportunities, and then they make it happen, while many of us are still sitting around crying, whining, and complaining. There is no shortage of money. There is only a shortage of ideas and desire. Dream bigger dreams, think bigger thoughts, and make it a great day and a great life.

Fear Is Common to All People

Fear is an emotion that has been built into every person as a protection mechanism. You likely are familiar with the expression "flight or fight, which refers to the brain's automatic response to danger. When we perceive that our safety is threatened, we have an immediate instinct to either run or to stand and fight the oncoming threat. The threat to our safety doesn't even need to be real. Even a perceived or "believed threat can trigger a flight-or-fight response.

At times, our fear is not related to a physical and external danger but to a fear that is much more internal-for example, a fear of failure or a fear of embarrassment. Such fears are not life-threatening, but we can have a strong emotional reaction to them nonetheless. We may find that our fear causes us to run away-emotionally if not literally and to refuse to take a risk that has the potential to IMPROVE our life. We may find that our fear paralyzes us, so we take no action at all. We may find that we immediately respond with something of a "fight" response in which we lash out at those who are giving us the challenge, find all sorts of excuses for not pursuing the challenge, or blame all sorts of people or things for putting the challenge in our path in the first place.

People have all sorts of internal fears, including a fear of change, a fear of making a decision, a fear of taking on the responsibilities that are perceived to go with a promotion or a move to the next level in life, a fear of discomfort, or a fear of putting something at risk.
