Stop wasting time on whining

 “People visit a wise man complaining about the same problems over and over again. One day, he decided to tell them a joke and they all roared with laughter.

After a few minutes, he told them the same joke and only a few of them smiled.

Then he told the same joke for a third time, but no one laughed or smiled anymore.

The wise man smiled and said: ‘You can’t laugh at the same joke over and over. So why are you always crying about the same problem?'”

Why The Lord Hanuman tears open his chest

 

The story starts when Lord Rama returned to Ayodhya and became the king.  After Shri Rama defeated Ravana and reunited with Mata Sita he came back to Ayodhya. When his coronation was done, Sri Rama became the king of Ayodhya. Vibhishana, Ravana's brother, came into the court and offered Rama a priceless necklace as a humble gift. Rama suggested that Vibhishana give it to Devi Sita when Devi Sita received the necklace, she said, “I want to give it to the person who helped Rama the most.” Vibhishana asked, “Who is that?” Devi Sita replied, “Hanuman.”

When Lord Hanuman received the necklace, he surprised everyone by breaking it apart. He started examining each pearl, throwing them away one by one. This left Sita confused and offended Vibhishana and the people of Ayodhya. They began to shout at him, asking why he was disrespecting Devi Sita’s precious gift.

Lord Hanuman said I am looking for Lord Rama and Devi Sita in these pearls. Anything without Lord Rama’s name, or even Lord Rama himself, is useless to me, no matter how precious it is.

He continued to toss the pearls aside, which made Vibhishana even angrier. The people began to ask, "How can Lord Rama and Sita be in these pearls when they are sitting right in front of you?"Then Hanuman ji says, “Every inch of my body has Rama in it.every part of my body has Rama and Sita in it My heart and soul are made of Rama.”The people of Ayodhya mocked him, saying, “How do we know that? We cannot see them in you.”In a moment of profound devotion, Lord Hanuman tore open his chest and asked, “Now can you see them?” Inside his chest, everyone could see Lord Rama and Devi Sita, glowing with light. The aura of their divine presence filled the air.The people of Ayodhya, including   Vibhishana were moved to tears. They witnessed true, selfless devotion that day. Overwhelmed with love, Lord Rama got up and embraced Hanuman ji, recognizing his unwavering loyalty and devotion.

 The story of Hanuman ji tearing his chest and showing Sri Rama and Sita devi within his heart serves as a profound reminder of the essence of true devotion and dedication.

 This cherished episode from the Ramayana encourages us to cultivate a heart filled with love, humility, and compassion, inspiring us to prioritize the well-being of others and uphold the principles of righteousness in our lives. Just as Hanuman's faith and actions transformed his existence into a living testament of devotion, we too can aspire to embody these virtues, allowing love and faith to guide our spiritual journeys. Through this timeless tale, we are reminded that the divine resides not just in sacred texts or images but in the hearts of those who genuinely seek and serve with love.

 

What actually mean "Narova Kunjrova" of epic battle

 On the 15th day of the Mahabharata war, Drona got instigated by King Dhritarastra's remarks of being a traitor. He used the Brahmadanda against the Pandavas. Brahmadanda was a spiritual divine weapon that contained the powers of seven greatest sages of Hinduism (Saptarshis). But Drona did not impart this knowledge either to Arjuna or to Ashwathama. Thus, he proved to be unconquerable on the 15th day of war.

Observing this, Krishna devised a plan to bring down the invincible Drona. Krishna knew that it was not possible to defeat Drona when he had bow and arrow in his hands. Krishna also knew that Drona loved his son Ashwathama very dearly. So, Krishna suggested to Yudistra and other Pandava brothers that, if he were convinced that his son was killed on the battlefield, then Drona would get dejected to such an extent that he would lay down all his arms on the ground and it would be easier to kill him.

In order to find a way out, Krishna suggested Bhima to kill an elephant by name Ashwathama and claim to Drona that he has killed Drona's son Ashwathama. Following this plan, Bhima located and killed an elephant named Ashwathama, i.e. the same name as Drona's son. He then loudly proclaimed that he had slain Ashwathama, so as to make Drona think that his son was dead.

Drona however, did not believe Bhima's words and approached Yudhisthira. Drona knew of Yudhisthira's firm adherence to Dharma and that he would never ever utter a lie. When Drona approached Yudhisthira and questions him as to whether his son was truly slain in the battle by Bhima, Yudhisthira responded with the cryptic Sanskrit phrase "Ashwathama hathaha iti, narova kunjarova" meaning 'Ashwathama is dead. But, I am not certain whether it was a human or an elephant').

Krishna also knew that it was not possible for Yudhisthira to lie outright. On his instructions, the other warriors blew trumpets and conches, raising a tumultuous noise in such a way that Drona only heard that "Ashwathama is dead", but could not hear the latter part of Yudhishthira's reply.

Drona knew that if Ashwattama was dead, then his soul must have gone to heaven. So, out of grief, and believing his son to be dead, Drona descended from his chariot, laid down his arms and sat in meditation. Closing his eyes, his soul went to Heaven in search of Ashwathama's soul.

In the meantime, Drupada's son Dhristadyumna took this opportunity and beheaded the unarmed Drona who was not aware of the whole proceedings on Earth. This was considered an act of cowardice on Dhristadyumna's part.

Drona's soul, which went to Heaven could not find Ashwathama's soul there and so returned to Earth in order to find the truth about Ashwathama's death. But it could not get back into its body as Drona's head was separated from his body.

In this way, Drona was killed in the Mahabharata War. His death greatly aggrieved and enraged Arjuna, who had immense affection towards his teacher, and had hoped to capture him alive rather than killing him

Jambvan or Jambvant as motivator to Mahabali Hanuman

 The Vanaras were in a dilemma when they learned that the ocean needed to be crossed to find Sita Devi. At this point, different Vanaras talked about their capability to jump various distances and some said that they could cross the ocean but not come back.

Seeing Hanuman stand silently, Jambavan, the son of Brahma, spoke to the mighty Vayuputra and reminded him of his powers and abilities.

Oh, valiant one in the world of vanaras, being an erudite (knowledgeable) scholar among all the scriptural scholars, Hanuman, why do not you mumble something, why do you resort to a calmly loneliness?

Jambavan goes on to describe the boon of Vayu the wind God to Anjana and how Hanuman was born.

By my presence in your mind, you are impregnated in a super sensory manner, thereby you will beget (generate ) a valiant son endowed with intellect.

An admirably brave, and a bravely dazzling, and a dazzlingly forceful, and a forcefully overpowering son will be there, also thus, he will be a coequal of mine in flying off and jumping up.

Oh arcane monkey Hanuman, when Air-god said so to your mother, oh, ambidextrous one, your mother is gratified, and then, oh, bullish fly-jumpers, your mother very well divined you in a cave.

The great Jambavan describes the boons received by Hanuman making him realize his powers, long forgotten.

Oh, chivalric warrior at war, while the Air-god is being supplicated, oh, dear boy, Brahma gave you a boon decreeing your indestructibility by any missile.

On scrutinizing that you are unhurt even after hit by Thunderbolt, oh, ablest Hanuman, the Thousand-eyed Indra kind-heartedly gave you a choicest boon saying that your death occurs only by your own volition(will).

Such as you are, you are Kesari’s son through his wife, oh, frightful pugilist, and you are the lineal son of Air-god, and even by your gusting you are identical to Air-god, and even by your flying also you are his selfsame to Air-god, in all respects.

Arise, oh, lion-like monkey, leap over this vast ocean, oh, Hanuma, your escape velocity is indeed unlike that of all the other beings.

At that moment, Hanuman, having realized and having been reminded of all his abilities, decided to go to Lanka.

Thereafter, the best of the monkeys whose speed is familiar coupled with his irresistible enterprise being motivated by Jambavan- the king of bears- enormously increased his physique as though to gladden the army of monkeys.

This is how Jambavan motivated Hanuman and reminded him of his special powers to cross the ocean and reach the Golden City of Lanka, by explaining his past and about the boon the Vayuputra received.

We can clearly observe that in the entire Kishkinda Kanda and in Yuddha Kanda, Hanuman acts at the orders of Shri Rama, Sugriva, Jambavan, and didn’t show his strength unnecessarily, gave unsolicited advice and acted on his own. He remained in the side lines, working either under Sugriva/Angada, according to the situation.

Hanuman, the valiant Monkey God was the avatar of Lord Shiva .Lord Hanuman had many boons from various gods. He knew that he could fly since he was an ape(vanara) and also due to him being the son of Kesari, who was also a vanara. He was also the biological son of Vayu Deva, the wind God and hence, he possessed the ability to fly. He knew that he possessed great powers and strength in him. The only thing which he was not too sure about was that he was capable of flying all the way to Lanka alone, crossing the sea, burning the city and killing the demons to deliver a message of Shri Rama to Maa Sita.

It was then Jambavan, the king of bears made him realise his immense powers and strength. The bear told Lord Hanuman that he was a storehouse of intelligence and spiritual wisdom. Then, after listening to those encouraging words from Jambavan, the mighty son of the Wind God increased his size, due to him being blessed with boons and siddhis.

Hence in our life we need person like Jambavan  who can motivate us to remain positive and keep our inner heart developing in helping ourselves and other to reach our goal.
